The goal of the doctoral consortium is to provide PhD students with an environment in which they can share and discuss their goals, methods and results at an early stage of their research. During the doctoral consortium students will give a presentation of their current progress. Students will be guided by a faculty member with expertise in the area of the research topic. The doctoral consortium provides students with feedback on their work from other students and faculty members, allowing them to enhance their own research proposal. The doctoral consortium will take place on June 3, allowing participants to attend the OSS 2009 conference after the doctoral consortium.
